London Cool is pleased to be one of the sponsors for Campdowne 2008, the first UK International Scout and Guide Camp of the new centenary of Scouting, taking place between 24th July and 2nd August. Nearly 2000 participants will come from across the UK as well as 22 countries around the world. During the course of the 10 day event, Scouts and Guides will have the opportunity to take part in over 50 different fun and adventurous activities.

They have been given permission during the event, to attempt to create a new Guinness World Record. As people gather together from all over the globe in one place for the time of their lives, they aim to create The World's Largest Scout Scarf.

Campdowne provides a unique opportunity to meet new friends from all over the world. The young people and their Leaders will be camping in a beautiful woodland site, less than 16 miles from the centre of London.

The sale and use of new HCFC's (including R22 Refrigerant) is banned from 31st December 2009, and from 1st January 2015 use of all HCFC's, including recycled materials will be banned. If you have Air Conditioning equipment older than 5 years, it is likely that it will have R22 refrigerant gas. The price of R22 is already starting to rise and it is widely expected that demand of recycled gas will outweigh supply.

It is VITAL to start planning now !

A large creative media company in the City of London required a temporary cooling solution to cover a weekend shut down for essential maintenance to the air conditioning within their Data Centre.
Thanks to our large resources and experienced staff, London Cool was quickly able to provide 68 portable portable 6.5 kW rental cooling units and overnight installed them as back-up air conditioners in the Data Centre area.
Paul Berry, Managing Director of London Cool said "It was a fantastic effort by the staff of London Cool, and the Data Centre temporary cooling kept it running smoothly."
